Red Jacket Mountain View Resort Giveaway!

My friend, Sharon, of Viola Cay recently took her adorable family to the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort in North Conway, NH. The resort is also home to Kahuna Laguna, a 40,000 square foot water park. Sharon is now hosting a giveaway for a two night stay for a family of four (including water park passes) and I'm lucky enough to be a part of the action!

Don't know much about the resort? Well let me tell you...

The resort is located on 25 acres overlooking the Moat Mountain Range and Saco River Valley, this favorite New Hampshire resort is perfect for enjoying breathtaking scenery, deluxe accommodations, outstanding cuisine and fantastic service.

For the ultimate vacation, choose from spacious family accommodations, townhouses, Jacuzzi rooms or pet-friendly rooms and enjoy spectacular mountain views from your own private balcony or patio.
The Red Jacket is well-known for its festive events, live entertainment and outstanding dining. Champney's Restaurant serves signature New England cuisine with a continental flair. For more casual dining, Palmer's Red Ridge Grille offers a mix of lighter fare and award-winning specialties.

Minutes away from the resort are more than 100 tax-free outlets and specialty shops, as well as hiking, biking, horseback riding and whitewater rafting for the outdoor adventurer. 1. My advice for traveling families is “Don’t worry about it!"
You’ll forget stuff. Most things can be replaced, or you can do without. Don’t worry about it.
You may think you need a million toys - the kids won’t use them. Don’t worry about it.
On vacation, your kids’ sleep schedules and eating habits will be nuts. Don’t worry about it.
Things aren’t going to go according to plan. Don’t worry about it.

The kids are only little for a short while. Enjoy that time. Don’t worry about the incidentals. You’ll miss a lot if you’re too focused on the small stuff. Enjoy the ride - even if it’s more chaotic than you’d like.

  2. We try to bring food to cut down on restaurant expenses, especially now with 2 kids. Plenty of bananas, apples, pretzels, crackers, peanut butter and a loaf of bread for lunches.

  3. My number one piece of advice for family travel is, Take your time and follow your kids lead. Don't get up super early and rush everyone out the door. Sleep in and eat breakfast so your not tired and hungry and grumpy on the road. Throw away the itinerary. Your on vacation not at work, there shouldn't be a strict schedule, just go with the flow.

  4. Travel light! No need to over pack on toys and such for the kids. They will be too focused on the new things around them to bother playing with them.
