Boston Social Media Holiday Party

I often get to do some pretty cool things thanks to my blog. However, rarely do I get to share my experiences firsthand with my family. That’s why I was so excited when I was able to attend the Boston Social Media Holiday Party which was planned by Mommy Niri and The Frugalette.

On Saturday, my family headed to the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge where we were blown away by their generosity.
A great event AND an adorable kid picture? Wowzers!
My children were in their glory with decorate your own cupcakes, make your own Play Doh, coloring, crafts, and a spread of toys/games to play with courtesy of the fabulous sponsors.

Think they had fun?

ArtBar (located inside the hotel) also served a plated kids meal that was making me drool – chicken tenders, curly fries, pigs in a blanket, mac and cheese – oh my! I’m not going to lie I sampled everything on the plate!

Adjacent to the “kids’ room” was the adult dining/socializing space. Tim and I took turns sneaking off to enjoy adult conversation with some of Boston’s finest bloggers. Art Bar was also mixing up homemade cocktails including a warm “Tom and Jerry” with just the right amount of brandy to take the chill off the snowy day!  As if the kids menu wasn’t great enough they upped it a notch with delicious paninis, soup, salad, and freshly seared scallops for the adults. Of course, my favorite food of the day had to be the homemade ice cream sandwiches. They even warmed the cookies for you on a skillet – ummm…yum!

We heart dessert.

The hotel was even nice enough to let everyone use their indoor pool after the event. We opted to sneak out without using it though since we were maxed out for fun and ready for a nap. All three kids were passed out within about ten minutes on our drive home!

Once we got home we dove in to the goody bags that we received which were amazing.

Overall, it was such a great and special day. The whole family couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces.

*My family was invited to attend this invite which included complimentary food and products. I was under no obligation to post about the event but wanted to share my great experience with you. As always, all opinions are my own!
