A Week With the Preschool Puppy

Henry LOVES stuffed animals. He is one of the few kids I know that genuinely loves getting stuffed animals AND actually plays with them. They are his best buds. So he was over the moon when not only did he get to take Paws the Preschool Puppy home with him but that he got him over February vacation. That's a total score!

For those that don't know the deal with the Preschool puppy - every child gets to bring the stuffed animal home for the weekend and you need to write in a journal about what you did while you had him. You also take a picture (or if you're me ten pictures) for the book and the child gets to show it off when he gets back to school the following week. All the kids love it.

So Paws came with us EVERYWHERE over the last week. I don't think he ever left Henry's side. It's a sad day here having to give Paws back.

Here are some of my favorite pics from the week...

Henry and Paws taking in a little bowling

Enjoying some Hunka Chunka Peanut Butter Fudge Ice Cream at Friendly's

Learning the ins and outs of the supermarket biz at a Hannaford tour
Paws was a balance beam expert at gymnastics

  1. How cute! My son's second grade teacher actually did that with a stuffed Curious George last with her kids (this was last year) and at the time I remember thinking that the kids were too old to be getting to take stuffed animals home for a weekend, but I was wrong - they all seemed to love it and their journaling was so cute.

  4. He is SO STINKING CUTE, especially with that little hat on!!! My kindergartner got to bring home a "slumber buddy" but only for one night. She loved it, too, but I'm sure she would've loved a week much better!

  6. What a cute idea. And I'd never be able to give Paws back after all that bonding. I'd tell teach he went to live on a farm. With Timmy. And a well.
